OK - so I'm not very good at this blogging stuff. I read other people's, but can't seem to make time to keep up with my own. At this point, I'm not making any promises. Maybe I'll post again around Christmas:-) Thought I'd post a couple of Halloween pics - Nicolas was a Power Ranger (as you can see) and had a blast. This is the first year that the other costumed kids didn't scare him. So, we were actually able to leave the house without him attached to my hip. As you can see from the other pic, he'll have enough sugar to last him the rest of the year!
Christmas is now just around the corner and it just brings me back to the realization of fast he is growing up. I was talking to a woman this morning from Iowa who is on a mission trip and during that conversation, something triggered a newsflash for me: this time next year, Nicolas will be in school!!!
I think I'll go ahead and plan that day off - as I can tell you right now I'll be traumatized.
Oh well - enough of that. I'm going to get ready for church...this is kind of fun though. Maybe I'll post again before Christmas, after all. Just maybe...

New at this...
Greetings All!
I'm not sure why exactly I happened upon this...but blogging seems to be the "in" thing right now - so I thought I'd check it out. After all, Lee and I are indeed the hippest couple in their late thirties that I know of:-)
I thought this might be a great way for us to keep in touch with those of you we never see and keep you up-to-date on our lives. I have no idea how often I will post messages - I guess it depends how frequently those of you reading them respond.
Big news in The Hillman House right now: we FINALLY sold our Benton house! We will close tomorrow at 1:30pm. Can't even tell you how excited and relieved we are - since we've already owned a home in Cape since last August! God is good, though, we've not missed a beat. It has been a financial strain, but not one He hasn't made possible for us to manage.
Other big news: My mom had back surgery yesterday in Tampa, FL at the Laser Spine Institute and so far seems to be doing much better. I'll update you on this as I know more.
Nicolas is 4 years old now - and I'll update the site with current pics, etc as I learn what the heck I'm doing:-)
