Well, it's true and I am well aware that many of you think I'm completely crazy. Why would anyone put themselves through that?
Well, as grueling as it may seem...it's nothing compared to radiation, chemo and mastectomies...which is what my dear friends have gone thru with this dreaded disease.
And quite frankly, I'm just tired of it. I want it to stop.
My walking 39.3 miles in two days isn't going to make it go away. But my hope is that by raising awareness and the funds necessary to walk that week (each participant must raise $1,800), that one more treatment may be discovered...one more woman may be able to get a mammogram before it's too late...one more patient can have access to a wig...
